Airbnb Guidebook
Welcome
We are so excited to be able to share our beautiful space with you. This space is operated by our hospitality business, Paired Experiences, which we co-own and manage. Please feel free to explore the rest of our website to get to know us and the other services we offer!
Contact
We live in the main house next door. The best way to contact us to message is through the Airbnb app/website. However, we’re also always available to text/call at the following phone numbers.
Danni: 701-333-8493
Vinnie: 920-428-7885
Technology
The wifi network and password are posted on the dining room table. Please let us know if you have any issues connecting and we’ll be happy to assist. Should you need to reset the router, it’s plugged into the wall hidden behind the table.
We also offer 2 universal phone chargers by each side of the main bed. Just set your phone on it, and it’ll start charging!
House Rules
We strictly ask there to be no smoking inside the cabin or nearby while any windows are open in the cabin.
We ask that you be conscious of shutting the door during your stay. While we have many insects in the region, the Guest Cabin is thoroughly insulated and has never had any pest issues. We ask your cooperation to prevent bugs from entering this clean space!
Because our houses are on a septic tank, we ask that you take extra precautions to not flush anything beyond toilet paper down the toilet. We have provided a small garbage nearby.
This is a very safe neighborhood but feel free to lock your door while offsite to ensure safekeeping of all valuables. We have on security camera at the front door of our main house, which has a motion-sensored light (intended to be helpful for finding doors in the dark, not intended to startle you!)
Temperature
Our AC/heating wall unit keeps the cabin very well regulated year-round. The main things to be aware of to control the temperature to your liking is that you need to choose if you want the settings to be on “heat” or “cool”or the general fan. Also, the tiny lightbulb doesn’t work for the “heat” setting, but when you scroll through the settings and stop on heat, the heating function indeed works.
There is also a cozy bathroom heater in the bathroom wall. Feel free to turn that on to stay warm after showers or especially in the winter! We just ask that you turn this off between uses as it gets quite hot and could be a fire hazard.
Dishwashing
Per the Pierce County Health Department, we have written instructions under the sink alongside a washing bin to have 3 washing bins for proper sanitation.
However, we are happy to take this burden and wash used dishes after your stay. Please rinse the dishes and leave them in the sink. We will wash all dishes up to health code in our main house to provide convenience and peace of mind to guests.
Laundry
The combined washer/dryer laundry unit in the kitchen is available for use. Please be prepared for the “normal” cycle to take ~3 hours. We also have a drying rack under the stairs that’s available to air dry items.
We have provided a few Tide pods “free and gentle” under the kitchen sink in a small container.
Recyling & Garbage
We have mixed recycling in our area so feel free to join all of your recycling into the small bin under the stairs.
Throughout your stay, if you have larger trash or recycling items to discard, please feel free to put them directly into the large rolling garbage bin in the driveway or the small blue recycling box next to it.
Outdoors
We have a charcoal grill, BBQ utensils, outdoor farm table and chairs, bonfire pit, s’mores skewers, and more available upon request. Please let us know in advance if you wish to use any of these amenities so we can properly set them up for you and make sure other people aren’t planning to use these shared spaces and items.
Safety
A fire extinguisher is stored under the kitchen sink. The fire alarm and carbon monoxide alarm are active and placed on the ceiling near the staircase.
We have some elements of a first aid kit under the bathroom sink. Please call or text us if you need anything else in addition, as we have many more First Aid supplies in our main house.
Driveway
Please be aware that delivery drivers bringing deliveries for our main house also use the Guest Cabin driveway. We try to avoid package deliveries while guests are here, but sometimes the timing is out of our control. So don’t worry if you see somebody park in the driveway and quickly walk up to our main house. We hope this isn’t a disturbance!
Checkout
When you are ready to leave the property, please lock the door and put the key back in the lockbox with the code.
Please turn off all lights
Turn off the bathroom heater and bring main AC/Heating unit back to 70 degrees.
Please rinse dishes you used and leave them in the sink - we will thoroughly clean and sanitize all dishes used between each guest so you have peace of mind that your dishes have been carefully washed.
We don’t have any other specific cleaning requests before leaving! If you wish, you may leave dirty laundry in the brown hamper under the stairs, but we will take care of everything else.
Remember to do a thorough sweep of the room for any electronics plugged in or small items that may have been missed. Also remember to check the fridge and freezer for any snacks left behind that you want to take with you.
Thank you!
Thank you for staying with us! Although we have hosted friends and family many times over the past few years and have put all of their suggestions into place, we still welcome any feedback or ideas to improve comfort and convenience during your stay!
If you enjoyed your stay, please leave a 5 star review as we are trying to gain momentum and recognition on the Airbnb site.
We hope you come visit again and recommend our place and our region to your friends/family!
Please have safe travels back home and know you always have a cozy home away from home!
